Wingspan Way- Transitional, a remodel by Good Guys.

Location: Scottsdale

Style: Transitional

Our Wingspan Way project was a rip out and replace, with just some slight modifications. With our client’s wanting to keep the flooring, we wanted to create a space that allowed us to maximize the storage needed.

Before this remodel, the layout of the kitchen was not terrible, but we saw the space and what it could become. The modifications started with cutting down the curved island to make it counter height and remove the old stone surround that made it clunky. Next, the refrigerator was pushed closer to the slider with an added pantry storage. By adding a beverage fridge and glass cabinets, this wall became a display for the glassware that our clients use. On the opposite side of the kitchen, we created a coffee nook with additional trash storage and more glass uppers. For the range wall, we centered the cook top and built a custom hood to match the cabinetry. Before the kitchen did not have a soffit, but our clients liked the idea of dropping them for the symmetry of the kitchen and to have a full ten-foot elevation.

The main work island started with odd, heavy pony walls, but we were able to fix that issue. By removing the beefy pony walls on both sides of the island, we created more cabinet storage. On one end of the island, we have shallow closed storage and on the other we have an open bookcase for our client’s cookbook storage. So cute! Our clients picked a classic white beveled shaker door for the upper cabinets and a deep grey stain for the base cabinets. Instead of backsplash tile, we carried the same quartz up the backsplash and added plug molds underneath to not have any outlets or switches cut in this beautiful quartz.

We and our clients are over the moon with this completed kitchen remodel.
